Media Center / Announcements / Ed Lazear Joins Boards of Directors/Trustees of Dimensional's US Mutual Funds
December 2010
We are pleased to announce the election of Edward P. Lazear to the Boards of Directors/Trustees of Dimensional's US Mutual Funds. Ed is currently the Jack Steele Parker Professor of Human Resources Management and Economics at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Ed is widely recognized for his worldwide contributions as a labor economist and founder of a field known as personnel economics. He has been awarded extensively for his accomplishments as a teacher, author, and researcher.

Ed served as chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers and worked for the White House from 2006 to 2009. Previously, he was a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution from 1985 to 2002. He has also been an advisor to the governments of Czechoslovakia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia.

Prior to joining Stanford University in 1992, Professor Lazear taught for several years at what is now known as the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was the Brown Professor of Urban and Labor Economics.

We are fortunate to welcome Ed as an important addition to what is regarded as one of the most distinguished board of independent directors in the mutual fund industry. Dimensional was founded on relationships with leading academics, and we look forward to their continuing involvement with the firm.
