Dimensional Fund Advisors announced the appointment of John Alkire as chief executive officer of Dimensional Japan Ltd. Alkire will serve as the head of Dimensional's Japan operations and will be based in Tokyo. Dimensional is in the process of obtaining a discretionary investment manager license in Japan.
