Carlo Venes is a director of Dimensional Advisors Ltd., Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte. Ltd., and Dimensional Hong Kong Ltd. His main focus is working with institutional investors, including central banks, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and government-related entities, throughout the Asian region. Carlo joined Dimensional in December 2011 and was responsible for leading the effort to expand the firm's business in Asia (ex Japan) before relocating to Singapore in August 2012.

Having lived and worked in Asia from 2005-2011, Carlo has a rich background in working with Asian businesses and clients. Carlo has more than twenty years of global experience in the asset management industry, having worked throughout Asia, Europe, and the US. Most recently, he was a managing director and head of Fidelity International's institutional business in Asia, where he managed a team of forty-five institutional employees and maintained client relationships in ten Asian markets. Before that, he worked in several different roles at ING Investment Management in Asia, including head of institutional business, chief marketing officer, and head of business development.

Carlo has a bachelor of arts in marketing economics and a doctorate in investment and financial analysis from VU University in Amsterdam.
