David R. Martin brings to Dimensional more than twenty years of financial management experience at banks and large asset management firms, including a background in international markets. As chief financial officer, he is responsible for providing accurate and timely information about Dimensional's finances and for business planning and analysis. He also oversees facilities/real estate, business continuity, and compliance functions.

Prior to Dimensional, Dave was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Janus Capital Group Inc., where he oversaw finance and accounting, human resources, IT, real estate, and procurement. Previously, he spent six years at Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., serving in senior management positions across a variety of financial disciplines including traditional treasury functions, planning and analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Early in his career, Dave was executive vice president and chief financial officer for First Interstate Bank of Texas.

Dave earned his MBA in finance from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a BS in mathematical sciences from Stanford University.
