As commercial manager and vice president with DFA Australia, John Surridge provides commercial service advice to senior management, acts as the local business manager for the HR, Legal, Administration, and Technology functions, and assists in risk mitigation and process enhancements over Sydney investment and operational processes. In addition, he helps monitor DFA Australia's agents and external service providers, particularly with respect to DFA's securities lending program and corporate governance procedures, and he oversees the delivery of offering documents for the Australian resident trusts.

Prior to joining Dimensional in April 2006, John spent several years working as a corporate and commercial solicitor for Bell Gully in New Zealand, and at Middletons in Australia.

He holds a bachelor of laws(hons) and a bachelor of arts from the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand.
