Karen is a senior portfolio manager and a member of the Investment Committee and the Investment Policy Committee at Dimensional. Her responsibilities include oversight of investment strategies at Dimensional, particularly in the non-US equity area. She frequently speaks at final presentations to prospective clients, client reviews, consultant meetings, and industry conferences in the US.

Karen joined Dimensional in 1993 as a general portfolio manager in US equities, after beginning her investment career with the Yale University Investment Office in 1988. In 1995, she moved over to the international portfolio management group within Dimensional, and spent the next fourteen years directly involved in the portfolio construction and trading of the non-US developed and emerging markets strategies.

A graduate of Yale (BA, economics, 1988) and the University of California, Los Angeles (MBA, 1993), Karen received her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991.
