As regional director, Olivian works closely with financial advisors in Southern California. In this role, he assists advisors on a wide range of issues from portfolio design and capital markets research, to practice management and client communications. Prior to joining Dimensional, Olivian worked as an investment counselor for a large registered investment advisor, assisting institutional and individual clients. His professional background also includes management consulting and strategic planning in the financial services industry.

Olivian holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned a bachelor's degree in forest engineering from Transilvania University in Brasov, Romania, and an MS in forestry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Olivian is an active member of the UCLA Alumni Association and serves as a mentor for the Blue Heron Foundation. He is a CFA Charterholder and also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA) designation.
