Election of Robert C. Merton

We are very pleased to announce the election of Robert C. Merton to the Boards of Directors/Trustees of the Dimensional Funds. Bob is currently the John and Natty McArthur University Professor at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration. As many of you know, Bob received the Alfred Nobel Memorial Prize in the Economic Sciences in 1997 jointly with another of the Dimensional Funds' Directors, Myron Scholes. Prior to joining Harvard University in 1988, Bob served for many years on the finance faculty of MIT's A.P. Sloan School of Management.
The duties of independent mutual fund directors have expanded over the years. Bob is an important addition to what is the best board of independent directors in the mutual fund industry.
