Service / Financial Advisors
Dimensional's mutual funds are designed to meet the needs of professional investors, and our resources are devoted to improving these strategies wherever possible. Developing customized portfolio solutions involves taking the risk preferences, tax situations, and lifetime objectives of each client into account. We believe this task is best left to a professional advisor who is directly familiar with his or her client's financial experience, risk tolerance, and goals.

As a result, Dimensional fund shares are not available directly to individuals but are limited to clients of a select group of fee-only financial advisory firms. The relationship between Dimensional and the independent advisor is based on shared views about how capital markets work and how best to provide clients with a successful investment experience.

To help entrepreneurial advisors build their business and manage their practice, Dimensional provides educational support and consultants. We also assist advisors through webinars on advanced topics, conferences featuring some of the nation's most distinguished financial economists, and an extensive private website of articles, research, and analytic tools.

A thorough, consultative approach to wealth management will gain client trust and will provide the financial advisor with the background needed to offer an insightful investment solution, encouraging a long-term client relationship.
Financial advisors have an opportunity to redefine their roles and add more value for their clients by focusing less on pervasive industry practices like active management and research and concentrating more on their clients' needs and goals.
